Following our campaign in March 2021 calling on law firms and legal service providers to adopt the Halo Code, we are delighted to be collaborating with the Halo Collective and global law firm Linklaters to bring you this informative seminar ‘Halo Code: Building a future without hair discrimination‘.

Whilst the Equality Act 2010 made race-based hair discrimination illegal, it still happens both overtly and covertly in schools and workplaces and creates undue pressures for Black individuals and anxiety around their hair and the potential consequences of wearing natural, cultural and protective hairstyles.

Join us on 26 July alongside the Halo Collective and Linklaters for this important seminar exploring the history of hair discrimination; how it manifests in schools and workplaces with real life examples; and what we can do to tackle these issues including adopting the Halo Code. You will also hear from Linklaters, who will talk about why they signed up to code and the role employers can play in building a future without hair discrimination. There will also be an opportunity to have your questions answered during the Q&A.
