Law Society Council elections 2013

We’re looking for imaginative and energetic solicitors to stand in the upcoming Council elections to help drive the agenda for legal service provision and practice. There are 32 available seats in both geographical and non-geographical constituencies.

Managing a bank account for someone else

A comprehensive framework for people who need to manage a bank or building society account on behalf of someone else has been produced by the Law Society, the British Bankers’ Association, the Building Societies Association, the Office of the Public Guardian and other partners.

Model conditional fee agreement

On 27 March the Law Society published a new draft model conditional fee agreement. The model was drafted by an expert group of senior practitioners in the civil justice field, including a leading QC and was approved by the Law Society’s Civil Justice Committee. It provides general guidance adaptable to the circumstances of a particular client.

Criminal law webinar
