BSN Director, Bart-Stewart, shortlisted for prestigious award
Black Solicitors Network (BSN) CEO and board member, Cordella Bart Stewart has been shortlisted for a Law Society Excellence Award, in the category of “Law Society Gazette Legal Personality of the Year”.
This particular is award is presented to a person who represents the very best of the profession and what it symbolises to the wider world. The criteria notes also state that “They will have performed exceptionally in delivering legal services, acting above and beyond the standards normally expected and demonstrating exceptional flair, hard work or dedication.”
On receiving the news Cordella Bart-Stewart said, “It is an unexpected pleasure and honour to be recognised by my peers in this way. I wish all of those short-listed the best of luck on the evening. At a time when access to justice is under so much pressure, their hard work and commitment represents what is good about this profession.”
The Excellence Awards take place on the 9th October 2014. This is followed by another prestigious industry event, the UK Diversity Legal Awards, which take place on the 18thNovember 2014.
A BSN initiative, the UK Diversity Legal Awards are the only industry awards which focus solely on recognising and promoting; equality, diversity and inclusion, across the legal profession.
