The Lammy Review: The Final Report

A Conversation

Monday 2nd October 2017

A conference for members of the legal profession to discuss the recommendations in the Lammy Review & how we can all help to achieve #ColourBlindJustice

We have changed venues so that we have room for a larger audience. The event is now taking place at:

Kings College University – Waterloo Campus

B5 Auditorium, Franklin-Wilkins Building

Stamford Street, London SE1 8WA

6.30pm registration for a 7.00pm start

Please can you inform all of your contacts of this change? Kings have high security measures so please let everyone know that if they have not registered they will not be allowed access to the venue. (So if any of you have not yet signed up yourselves, please do so now!)

On 8 September 2017 the Government published an independent review into the treatment of, and outcomes for, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic individuals in the Criminal Justice System. The report concludes that BAME individuals still face bias, including overt discrimination, and makes a number of recommendations which must be implemented.

Updated Panel: Sir Anthony Hooper, DPP Strategic Policy Advisor Sara Carnegie, Sandra Paul of Kinglsey Napley, Courtenay Griffiths QC of 25 Bedford Row and Judy Khan QC of Garden Court Chambers. Greg Foxsmith will act as chair and David Lammy MP will give an intro.
