According to the IMF, Ghana has experienced strong growth over the past two decades and “the country has outperformed regional peers in reducing poverty”, has “robust democratic credentials” and is a “highly-rated business climate” which attracts “significant foreign direct investment” and supports “long-term economic growth”. But what is the real economic story behind the bold headlines?

This panel event, involving thought leaders on Africa emerging markets, will discuss the current business and economic climate in Ghana, the country’s future as a key emerging market for business opportunities in Africa, the potential challenges in pursuing such opportunities, give practical insight into managing successful transactions in countries like Ghana and will provide us with a great forum to debate what needs to happen to ensure that Ghana remains Africa’s black star!
